About ENPC 6th Edition

This course, taught by qualified emergency nurses, is designed to provide the core-level pediatric knowledge and psychomotor skills needed to properly assess and implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for this high-risk patient population.

Course Format
A variety of learning methodologies are included to cater to every learning style:

Manual: The manual provides fundamental pediatric emergency nursing content with expanded information including dermatologic and environmental emergencies, human trafficking, food allergies and more. A valuable resource for future reference.
Pre-course learning: Includes access to required online modules prior to the course date to let you learn at your own pace, apply what you learn, and receive immediate feedback. Modules include a step-by-step breakdown of the Pediatric Nursing Process and a comprehensive study guide.
Instructor-led classroom discussion and skills stations: ENPC is typically delivered over 1.5 days. Live, and in-person or virtual classroom learning includes skill stations, group discussion, and other interactive exercises.
Electronic testing: Electronic open-book testing allows you to test in an environment that makes you most comfortable. No more test anxiety!

Prerequisites:
- Participants must be a registered nurse to receive provider status
- Licensed practical nurses and paramedics are eligible to attend all portions of the course and obtain CNE hours, but are not eligible for provider status verification
Class options: With the new ENPC 6th Edition release, and the new options just released in February 2023, the student now has the choice of taking a “Full Course” or “Challenger Course” type of class.
! Please remember to include the ENPC 6th Edition manual if you need one, when you register for your class.

This is a 1.5 days instructor-led classroom time with skills testing, an online exam and required pre-course work. This option is for RN’s and is an ideal option for students taking this course for the first time. Contact hours = 18.25 |
| One- Day Renewal |
At this time the ENA does not offer a One-Day Renewal option for ENPC |
| Challenger |
No classroom time. This option includes skills testing and an online exam only. The ENA now requires students to complete the online modules prior to the PNP skills check. It is for RN’s with ENPC experience and who are comfortable with self-study. Contact hours = 6.25 |
| Non-rn’s |
Are eligible for the Full Course option only. It is a 1.5 days instructor-led classroom time with skills testing, and required pre-course work. This option is for the healthcare professional interested in trauma patient care who is not a registered nurse. No Provider verification is granted. A total of 16.25 contact hours will be awarded. |
